Working with Dr. Getachew and team has been a great experience. Dr. Getachew is kind and direct, and able to helpfully explain what is going on with my back and how to improve it. I had an amazing experience! I went to Dr Makda after my car accident and she took the time to do a thorough exam, explained the issue I had on my neck, and answered all my questions. The treatment was incredible and my neck pain was gone after a few sessions. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional, and I couldn't be happier with my progress! I highly recommend Dr. Makda at Alexandria Spine Service. She is an amazing doctor who truly cares about her patients. I am one of her patients, and from the first visit, I experienced excellent care, professionalism, and strong teamwork from her and her staff.

Incredible results! I felt that is the best phrase that I could begin this review with! Around six months ago, I had injured three of my discs, and kept having relapses, and it wasn’t healing like it did in the past. I travel for work, so I was able to find Dr. Makda for the two months that I was here in DC. it has been an absolute Godsend! I wish I could take her everywhere I go! She has been so diligent and precise in my care, and each week I have more mobility than the last! The therapies that her office offers have been life-changing, and Dr. Makda herself is an incredible lady to be under the care of! She takes care to make sure your time there is relaxing and enjoyable, and checks up on your at home care and progress as well. If anyone is struggling with disc pain, and it’s not seeming to get better, you will not regret coming to see Dr. Makda!

After my accident, I was confused and didn't know what next while the pain was on my neck. A very close friend of mine gave me Dr Makda's phone number and address.
I was late so I called the following morning.
"Come on in", said Dr Makda. Without wasting time she started working on my neck. Took X-rays and recommended MRI. In just a month, my neck and upper back pains are gone.
Knowledgeable with wonderful staff. They are so caring and crack jokes when doing their job. Glad to have people like Dr Makda and her team
